El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme Cigar Review – King for a day
Saturday 25th April 2026 was another beautiful spring day and a day of real excitement for us Saints fans.
Saints were in the quarter-final of the FA Cup and had a tough draw against Manchester City.
I was fortunate enough to have a ticket in the “posh seats”. It’s who you know, huh!
Great seats in the centre of the stadium. Very comfortable red leather chairs that included drinks holders but sadly not cigar holders 🙂
The first half was a cagey affair, with Man City dominating possession but neither side able to find the net.
The Saints fans were in fantastic voice, and in the 79th minute, Fin Azaz unleashed a thunderous strike into the roof of the net to put Saints 1–0 up, sending the crowd into ecstasy.
For a brief moment we all believed something magical was on the cards but it wasn’t to be, with Man City proving to be too strong for us in the end.
Pep had to send on Haaland and some of the other big guns to make sure of the result.
Where to smoke
Well, as you can’t smoke in Wembley Stadium I waited until I got home to smoke my El Rey Del Mundo – translating to “King of the World” – Choix Supreme Cigar.
The Review
The El Rey Del Mundo – translating to “King of the World” – Choix Supreme Cigar
The El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme  is a beautifully crafted Cuban cigar. It’s a 5-inch Robusto with a 48-ring gauge.
The cigar is impeccably constructed, showcasing its attractive Corojo wrapper and a band that features a timeless, classic design.
After a quick cut and light, I started to feel like the king of the world.!
Flavour Profile
The cigar was very smooth with a mild-to-medium-bodied profile. There were clear peppery notes and spice on the finish, but the cedarwood was the flavour that struck me the most.
As I got into the middle of the cigar I noticed more sweetness and some cocoa and it was so good that I used my “cigar poker” – or “nubber” if you prefer – to get every last enjoyable puff without burning myself.
I fully enjoyed this El Rey and even used my cigar poker to stop from burning myself
Burning and conditions
This cigar was an easy smoke on a warm dry day. Whilst the Saints didn’t make it to the cup final they did us proud and the El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme is a cigar worthy of any celebration.
Overall I really enjoyed this smoke. It was smooth and felt more than a little bit special. I’d score it an 9.5/10 and would certainly have another one.
Have you tried this cigar before? Let me know what you think of it in the comments.
